Why attend this event?

The 2026 Teen Meet Up is a space for teens and the adults in their lives, led by the Be Present Children, Youth, and Play Team. Teens and adults will learn about Be Present, get a feel for the Be Present Empowerment Model, and find opportunities to stay connected with this work. 

We'll begin together with an introduction to the Be Present Empowerment Model®.Then we’ll move into small groups, teens with teens and adults with adults, to continue practicing the Model, sharing our thoughts openly and listening to others with intention. We'll end the gathering as a large group for all to share reflections and learnings.

Whether a you are brand new to Be Present or have grown up in this community, there's a place for you at this event. We want to see you there!

What Does This Event Offer?

Rooted in the Be Present Empowerment Model®, a practice that begins within and ripples outward into how we show up with others. During this event, teens and adults will explore how to:

• Know yourself outside the distress of oppression, recognizing the power you hold.
• Listen to others in a conscious and present state, bridging age and difference to hear each other with intention.
• Build authentic relationships, practicing a model to hold you and others through challenge and change.

Each person's transformation ripples outward, uniting into waves that shift the world. Register to join us and learn more!

Who is hosting this event?

The Teen Meet Up event is youth leadership in action: one more ripple, where young people who know themselves and find their voice send that transformation outward into their communities.

Youth voice and leadership are fully incorporated into the work of Be Present.

Through the Children & Youth Learning and Play Program (CYLP), young people train in the Be Present Empowerment Model® and grow into skilled facilitators and leaders. Learn more about youth leadership at Be Present here: Be Present Youth Leadership.
