Kathleen (Kate) Lillis has been involved in the work of Be Present, Inc., since 1984. She was a member of the first Sisters & Allies support group. She assisted in the planning and incorporation of Be Present, Inc., in 1992, and acted variously as the bookkeeper, CFO, Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer and managed BPI’s legal filings since its incorporation. In July 2026, she formally stepped back and is enjoying her less formal involvement in the day-to-day operations of Be Present, Inc. She is committed to justice, fairness and equality and spends part of her time working with several community organizations. She is the proud steward of a Little Lending Library and a Blessing Box Food Pantry, loves orchids and her new garden; but most of all she loves her wonderful wife, her large extended family and her friends. As for what Be Present, Inc., has meant to her: “It changed my life. I’m living much closer to the person I always wanted to be. I’m truly happy!”
