We are excited to invite you to connect, learn, lead, and play at our National Network Leadership Convening!

Rooted in the Be Present Empowerment Model®, this convening invites you to experience the model in action through collective governance, deep learning, and joyful creative expression. You’ll see the model’s principles of knowing yourself outside the distress of oppression, conscious listening, and authentic connection reflected through three powerful events:

Board of Directors Meeting (virtual only)
National Network Training Workshop (virtual and onsite)
Creativity Night: A Multigenerational Evening of Expression (virtual and onsite)

All events are open to everyone — children, youth, and adults. Whether this would be your first Be Present event, or you have been part of this work for years, your voice is welcome and your presence matters… especially in this moment!

Join us for the first session of our Board of Directors Meeting. This evening is a chance to experience collective governance in action as Board members, staff, consultants, and community partners come together to reflect on the year and have powerful conversations about our strategic directions.

You are invited to listen, share your perspective, and see how decisions are made in real time. This session is open to everyone, whether you are attending your first Be Present event or have been part of our community for years.

Session 2 continues the work of collective governance in action with a deeper look at the choices and commitments that guide Be Present. Together, we will review progress, explore challenges, and collaborate on shaping the strategic directions for the year ahead.

You do not need to attend Session 1 in order to take part in Session 2. Each session is unique, and you are welcome to join either or both. Every voice matters, and your participation helps us move forward as a community.

National Network Training Workshop

Build and Sustain Authentic Relationships Across Race, Gender, Power, and Class

In a world full of division, we know creating change requires people and communities to connect, relate, and collaborate across difference. So, what does it take to sustain positive change when we live within the social, political, and economic systems that we seek to transform?

It takes engaging the voices of people from different backgrounds and ensuring we can all Be Present at the table!
It takes effectively and compassionately addressing issues of race, gender, class, sex, sexuality, age, religion, nationality, and other intersecting axes of identity.
It takes us all, learning to speak up, listen well, and work for justice in our daily lives.

This one-day workshop introduces the Be Present Empowerment Model®, providing tools for emerging our voices outside the distress of oppression and listening to others with conscious, present attention. Let’s partner to create a just world in which ALL people thrive!

Creativity Night: A Multigenerational Evening of Expression!

Join the Be Present Children & Youth Learning & Play Team for a fun, interactive, multigenerational event for friends and families to share the Be Present Empowerment Model^® through artistic expression – dance, spoken word, art, and song.
