Black Women in Leadership: Building an Inclusive Movement
February 14-17, 2023
Be Present celebrates 40 years of Black women’s leadership in building a diverse movement for social justice and the anniversary of Lillie P. Allen’s Black & Female: What is the Reality?™ workshop held at Spelman College in 1983 for the First National Conference on Black Women’s Health Issues.
Be Present as the institution includes all people from all backgrounds and is a result of Black women’s leadership and our collective work as a diverse network of people with a shared vision of justice for all.
We invite National Network Leadership, partners, families, friends and communities to join us for an engaging week of learning and play in the Be Present Empowerment Model®, the foundation of Be Present’s structures and systems and platform for learning and dialogue. The Model builds sustainable leadership within ourselves, families, communities, and organizations.
