Be Present: Transformative Practices That Foster Justice and Peace

Be Present: Transformative Practices That Foster Justice and Peace

Bay Area California, July 25-28, 2024

There is a call for us to build partnerships and justice in our local communities and in the world. It requires that we embrace our interconnectedness and understand that our individual humanity is deeply connected with the well-being of others. Our journeys are enriched through our connections with one another and through our sustained actions in our collective pursuit of justice, good will, and fellowship.

Join us to celebrate over 30 years of Be Present’s movement building in the Bay Area!

  • Honor the leadership of Black women and girls in creating an inclusive movement for social justice
  • Hear experiences of how to bring the Be Present Empowerment Model® into your life: family, school, community, organization and movements
  • Celebrate in community with diverse children, youth and adults

Money moves movements and the Be Present Movement needs your financial support so that we can expand the reach and availability of Be Present Empowerment Model® curriculum, trainings, local and regional community organizing core groups, national network, and partnerships, among others.

Transformative change is possible. Come learn how.

Come listen to Bay Area Regional Organizing Core Group members, partners, and community leaders share stories of sustainable change on the individual, interpersonal, and institutional levels using the Be Present Empowerment Model® to empower us to translate our vision for peace and justice into practice.

This is the work of Be Present.

Black women and girls envisioned and formed the foundation of Be Present, Inc., beginning with Lillie P. Allen, who partnered with diverse people to create a movement for sustainable change that serves everyone in our communities.

For more than 40 years, the Be Present Empowerment Model® has been supporting people and movements to work together toward a shared vision of freedom for all. It is a proven practice to sustain individual well-being, promote collaboration and partnership, and build power for social justice.  Be Present’s locally organized and nationally connected leaders mobilize community action for social change.
